Hello?
There has to be somebody out there. Where are you? More importantly, where am I? I don’t know how I got here…
If this is a kidnapping, I should warn you my parents are dirt poor and probably don’t care anyway. Also I’m a terrible prisoner.

Stephanie was never bored in Gotham. Now, without Robin to supply her with information, she was starting to reconsider. She could only patrol in the daylight hours if she wanted to keep away from Batman. It wasn’t that running into Batman or his men would be a problem, per se, just a nuisance. Running into any one of the Bat Crew meant being ordered back home, more people insisting that she quit, and possibly watching her the rest of the night to make sure she didn’t come back. It was no fun being grounded, hence working during the day.
Of course, what this meant was that the hours between school and sunset were spent busily bouncing between shadows and looking for crimes to stop all over the huge city. This left absolutely nothing to distract Stephanie from her homework (or better yet, her mom) in the long hours between sunset and sunrise. She slept, sure, but habit had her up long into the night.
She wasn’t even sure what she was doing out. Nobody wanted her out here. Even the people she saved didn’t seem particularly enthusiastic. She’d lost track of how many times she’d heard that disappointed “oh, you’re not Batman. You’re just a little girl.” It was frustrating at best, infuriating at worst. But here she was, leaping from rooftop to rooftop, and for what? It had all started with her father, but he was dead now. Dead and hailed as some sort of hero, as thought that changed anything. As though that made it okay.
So why was she doing this? To see Tim, she supposed. She hadn’t seen him in a while. At least, not in costume. Her leg had been in a cast before, from jumping into a fight with the freaking Goliath that actually bit her arm. What a psycho. The last time she saw him, he was talking about quitting. What would happen then? Would they still be together? Would they be able to keep up this wild relationship without a life of fighting crime to keep them together? Could they really just be normal together? She kind of hoped they could.
Maybe that was the real reason she was out here every day, fighting to protect people she didn’t know. She was fighting for the chance to be with him, even if only in spirit.
Stephanie was never bored in Gotham. But, from time to time, she did get a little lonely.

- For Intranet sample. The Intranet sample has a distinct tone, however, we would like to see a little more of her personality. What about her impulsiveness? What about her desire to prove herself? What about her stubbornness and determination?
-For third person sample OR personality. The third person sample shows that she has a longing for company. However, this is not distinctly expounded upon in the personality section. While it shows her reactions to the people around her, the personality shows that she's independent. Why does she get lonely? Thus, we would like to request that a revision either for the third person sample or the personality section to fully integrate her vulnerabilities. We hope that these guidelines help.
We would like to see revisions made to said sections, and we ask that you submit them within 72 hours of this notice. Please post your revisions under this comment with the subject REVISION.

Although I'm not sure how much stubbornness and determination can really go into a "where am I" type post, I tried to put as much personality as I could into this new sample. But if you'd like to see more of those things I could write a sample journal entry? Steph keeps a diary that's more likely to show her feelings once discovering more about the place.
☓ Personality:
Stephanie's independence and driven determination lead her to always try to do things on her own first. Despite this, she isn't conceited enough to think that she can do the impossible. Although she does not yet know where her limits are, she can tell when somebody is able to help her achieve something greater. This is why she works with Robin (along with the motivation of her being utterly smitten with him) and why she offers to be Batman's sidekick when Tim leaves.
For most of her youth (that we see), Stephanie's actions appear to be motivated by her relationships. Later in her life she admits that while she was Spoiler she was either trying to prove herself or chasing after "some boy". This is certainly easy to see when we consider that, at the beginning of their relationship, every time Tim asked Steph why she was hanging around or why she would do this or that, her response was something along the lines of "if that's what it takes to get you to notice me." Although she would never admit it, part of this fixation on boys might stem from her horrible relationship with her parents, her father especially. Her father was almost always in jail, and when he wasn't he was making Stephanie and her mother's lives miserable. Her mother dealt with this abuse by drowning her sorrows in pills and in one flashback copious amounts of alcohol. She may be too tough to admit it, but Stephanie longs for meaningful companionship from people who aren't trying to hurt her. She seeks it from Robin because he's "safe", a good boy who's too shy to try to pressure her, and from Batman because he's the hero who brought her father to justice time and time again. That makes him her hero.
