☓ Background: The setting is Edo (modern Tōkyō), Japan, late 18th century. Originally, Rin comes from a pretty well-established samurai family, her father having been the head of a sword school, the Muten-ichi-ryū. This comfortable life, however, ended on the night of her fourteenth birthday, when Anotsu Kagehisa and his gang, the Ittō-ryū, showed up at their doorstep and, after already having killed all students of the school, had her father killed and her mother brutally raped, all in Rin’s presence. The reason for this was an old feud between their grandfathers as well as Anotsu’s goal of reviving his idea of a true warrior’s spirit by forcefully taking over other dōjōs. Rin herself got away physically unharmed, but her psychological wounds were deep and she swore revenge on Anotsu Kagehisa

After that, however, Manji is invited to the house of Habaki Kagimura, leader of the nigh disbanded Mugai-ryū and also the government official invested in the pursuit of Anotsu Kagehisa. Angel Cavity Search - More painful than it sounds, if you believe it. Castiel can shove his hand and forearm deep into a person's chest, lighting up what appears to be scattering vein-line paths of burning light just under the skin. This excruciating experience might cause permanent physical damage in some people. The results of this ability is being able to read someone's soul -- specifically if someone has a 'mark' on it (kind of like a deed, someone signed the soul to own it) or to detect if someone's soul is intact or even present. (NOTE: This is revealed as a power in season 6, although Castiel seems to hint at this ability when he touches a dead body in season 5 and detects that the soul within has not yet been harvested)
Enochian/Blood Magic - Banishing and Exorcising are more commonly used, as are Locating spells. Castiel can exorcise demons with a touch, although some are too powerful. The Banishing sigil works on angels, regardless of rank. In desperate times, he can even carve the sigil on his body and become

True Form - An angel's true form and voice is overwhelming at best, fatal at worst. It can instill fear, can burn out the eyes of those who look upon it or deafen with it's piercing quality, or kill mortals outright. There are some who are unaffected, however. Castiel's true visage is approximately the size of the Chrysler Building. (NOTE: Naturally, due to the destructive nature of this, it would both require consent of all involved and there would need to be very good IC reasons for Castiel to resort to something so reckless. He's not the type to just go around blinding people, although demons are fair game.)

Doesn't get that reference - Most modern cultural references go RIGHT over his head. One could potentially talk about a secret plan through obscure or commonly known references alone and he wouldn't have a clue what you just said.

Random facts that are worth mentioning but are neither here nor there: He has a crush on and wants to marry Liv Tyler, he's allergic to peanuts, he hates Harlequins and Betty Crocker thanks to his father, and he's actually his own paradoxical father since he created himself (and his own half-brother/dad) in a lab and transported himself (along with every other important human in the story) back in time... uhm. Yeah, Homestuck's a little brain-breaky at times.

☓ Abilities:
John's inventiveness is worth mentioning as an ability. While he's not all that bright, he demonstrates a inventive prowess greater than any of the other kids in the series when he's combining items to create weapons and technology (listed below). Aside from that, since ascending to God Tier status, he has control over the element of wind-- which appears to give him the ability to fly/hover above the ground. He also uses this power to extinguish an ocean-wide fire that spread on his planet in the game. Let's break it all down!

☓ Weaknesses: Given that Dave has such a cool composure more than 90% of the time, he doesn't have many weaknesses. However, his awkward fear of puppets might be his true weakness. He tends to have quite the internal break-down and has a history of waking up in cold sweats over nightmares about his BRO's Lil' Cal puppet.

His forgetfulness can most definitely be a great weakness. Given that he tends to forget things at strange, and quite possibly bad times, this can pose as an issue.

☓ Strengths: Dave's skilled and well-informed about his sylladex, and he seems to hold this above his friends. Given that his bro taught him how to fight at an early age and provided knowledge about the complications of a sylladex, he has a good defense. His cool and calmness could also be considered a strength, considering that nothing really bothers him aside from puppets. It's hard to shake him, and this can only hit higher levels of strength in the heat of battle.
