"You ok?" She stopped a good five feet away, stance relaxed, but alert. Wary. Not of him, but of the surroundings.

"I... .. I'm fine...." Wataru spoke quietly, keeping his head down. His voice was so quiet that it was difficult to hear him at all.

"A-actually... I..." Wataru pressed his lips together, unsure of how to continue. He knew exactly why he was in the water. He didn't understand why this woman was assuming so many things and was speaking so intently at him. His clothes were fine, or would be, as long as he could go home and change out of them before he caught a cold. "... I wasn't drowing. I... fell. Into the water. ... but I'm all right now."
It wasn't lying, at least.

Making tracks, Tsume made himself scarce. Hunching down behind a dune, he waited to see what this new person would do. Seeing a wolf right off the bat after the human had just washed up and was possible disoriented would not be the wisest course of action. Better to lay low and wait to see what they would do.

Kivat hovered a bit higher at this point, flapping his wings and zipping from one side to the other as Wataru continued to focus on his clothes.
"Oi, Wataru!" Wataru tilted his head back to watch the other, who had flown up quite a few feet to examine their surroundings. When he noticed where the other was looking, he glanced back out at the water. There was nothing in the distance, and no skyscrapers or buildings at all that he could see from where he was standing, either back 'the way he came' or ahead of him towards the path.
Now he looked worried. ... where exactly had he ended up?

Creeping forward, he looked over the dune until the front half of his from was poking over, his sand-encrusted head and paws, the ears twitching forward in intrigue. The sand tended to cling to his fur until he looked like a canine sand monster.

Kivat had started to follow after him, but seemed to be distracted by the wolf's presence -- while Wataru wasn't transformed, his senses were the superior ones. The bat made his way closer to the wolf, hovering in the air nearby but out of reach, trying to figure out what the creature was.
