Since Thursday I've had my new computer and since Thursday it has locked up every time I've tried a game on it. And occasionally when I play video. It's not a right away freeze, but more like after a few minutes of playing. I thought at first it was a conflict with my soundcard...nope. I then thought it was overheating...nope. Well, I should say I am about 90% sure it's not. Now I'm wondering if it's just the horse shitty Nvidia hardware.
I always hear about how crappy ATI is compared to Nvidia and vice versa. I honestly don't care. I only know that an Nvidia chipset motherboard and an Nvidia graphics card should work together flawlessly. Not the case, my friends. I installed a weaker ATI card and for the amount of time I played on it, not one lock up. Now, with two or even one Nvidia card it locks up after a few minutes of game time. I have probably read close to ever single forum on the internet regarding this card model. Not one of these jerks knows what the problem is specifically. All these know-it-all gamers can't pin point a problem. Most commonly I read that you should use older drivers. Ironically, drivers are one of the main reason Nvidia fans hate ATI so much. Now they are in the same boat.
Any way, I also read that the motherboard might actually be the problem, which oddly resembles my friend, Mai's, computer problem. Unfortunately I don't believe I have as many options as she does if I wish to keep SLi. I also read that the dual core processors aren't compatible with the video card. I also read that the onboard LAN conflicts with the video card. Honestly, I'm tired of reading retards make guesses.
I'd prefer any working solution but I'm getting the feeling that there won't be one. Instead I may end up returning this narcaleptic monster of a PC. It's even more frustrating because, system freezes and crashes aside, it runs fantastically. Either way this situation sucks.
