Connected to the world….again!
Friday night I left for a too-short visit with my Mom before the holidays. We arrived late Friday evening, stayed through Saturday, and came home last night. And I willingly stayed off the internet the entire time! I didn’t even miss it.
I somehow managed to get in a visit with my Mom, my grandmother, and my Dad, do some clothes shopping for the boys, a tiny bit of thrift shopping for me (meaning one store with NOTHING worth buying, but that’s how it goes sometimes) and have a black bean burger, margarita, and Chocolate Chip Cookie Molten Cake from Chili’s, and stop by my place of employment to retrieve my lost schedule before making it home. Not bad! Of course I was a zombie by the time I got in and just watched a movie to zone out so I could go to sleep, but I did a lot during my visit.
I had a great time, I just wish I could have stayed a good bit longer so that I could have visited with friends, too. And it’s very, very hard to say goodbye to my family at the end of a visit.
Today it’s back to work, where I need to get to the bottom of a scheduling snafu. Joy. But then tonight will be all about getting caught up on email, blogs, writing, housework, and rest. I can’t wait!
