Getting excited!
I think for my birthday, I might actually be able to get my hair cut, and colored. Oh, how I hope so!
Only problem is, where? Nothing too expensive or fancy. No tuxedo shirt-wearing folks here. (I seriously knew of a place back home that wore the stuffiest-looking ‘uniform’ ever for a HAIR salon!) But I also am tired of going to chain stores where the stylists are different every time you go in, and you never know who you’ll get stuck with. I’ll be doing my own color, but am thinking highlights and lowlights this time. So? I’ll need the salon to do that, too. I already have a place in mind, but I’m still looking for suggestions. Can anyone local suggest a good salon or hairdresser?
Also….what to have done? I had the perfect style in mind at the beginning of the summer. Very rocker chick-like, but not so wild I couldn’t wear it to my many Mom functions. I don’t know if I could pull it off, though. Or if I’m too big to pull it off - the girl I saw it on was tiny. It won’t look the same on me.
But I digress. Even a trim and shaping the layers up will do so much for it, and I’m coloring it, to boot. I know I am abnornally excited about this, but I haven’t been able to get my hair cut or colored in about a year. You can probably imagine the shape it’s in!
