Anyone familiar with real estate law?
Or does that differ state by state? We’ve talked about refinancing to get this house in my name, but wonder if I might qualify for the First Time Homebuyer Credit. There are several major things needing repairs around here: our bathroom floor, the shower faucet in the master bath, and the plumbing in the main bath and kitchen both need an update/fix/overhaul/tweak/something. Ideally, I’d like to be able to finally get rid of this illness-inducing carpet once and for all, and replace my stove. I’m thinking a refinance is just about my ONLY option to take care of all these things in a timely manner. The carpet and stove can wait, but the plumbing definitely needs to be fixed.
