Currently: in pain
Do you ever have to fight the overwhelming urge to just knock people out of your way on the freeway? I do all the time, but yesterday was especially one of those days. No traffic, ALL that room and open road, and still there were little clusters of slow-moving people spanning all three lanes.
I guess I was just a bit pms-y irritable, AND I’d been out to an event the night before in a smoke-filled establishment. My eyeballs still feel like they are on fire, even now. Of course the sun burned directly into them the entire two and a half hour trip to get the boys yesterday. My eyes are super-hyper sensitive to light of any kind, and I might as well have not even had any sunglasses on while facing the mid-day sun. Maybe I should buy some of those ugly Blue Blocker things.
Idea-quick question: I know it’s illegal to have dark tinted windows, but I wonder if they sell cling strips of tint that I could stick on my side of the windshield for times like that, and then pull off when they’re not needed? If they do, what would that be called? Or, I wonder if I’d get ticketed for putting one of those baby shades up? It’s very dangerous for me to have my eyes so irritated that they burn and tear up like crazy going down the road.
But I didn’t post just to complain. I do have some good news in the form of my kids getting awesome grades on their most recent progress reports, and I met several personal goals (in fitness, eating better, and finance). And luckily, there isn’t anything extremely noteworthy going on. Boring is good. So, yay! And shout-outs to Erica, Jenn, Brandi, Tara, and Debbie: you girls inspire me to be a bit more outgoing. Y’all were so much fun to hang out with!
