How do I stay sane when what I really want to do is curl up in the fetal position in a corner somewhere, rocking back and forth, and sucking my thumb? Retail thrift store therapy, of course!
Here is a part of my last two hauls:
Corelle cup. Thrifted 04/12/08. $1.99.
Cup and small, shallow bowl. Unidentified manufacturer/pattern. I am using the bowl as a saucer. Thrifted 04/12/08. $0.49 apiece.
Dinner plate; I believe it is made by Paden City Pottery. Unidentified pattern. Thrifted 04/17/08. $0.50.
Thrifted books. I think these will keep me occupied for quite some time yet! From the top: The Next Mrs. Blackthorne, Joan Johnston; Wizard’s Daughter, Catherine Coulter (which I very nearly bought for $8 just a month or so ago!); Rosehaven, Catherine Coulter; Lord of Raven’s Peak, Catherine Coulter; Lord of Hawkwell Island, Catherine Coulter; and, being from the south, I definitely had to grab The Sweet Potato Queen’s Book of Love, by Jill Connor Browne. $3 for the lot.
