Wow. Has it really been that long?
Seems like this time two years ago (really…it was that long ago?) I was making plans for the first vacation I’d had in years, and get this: it was just the girls! And it was just what I needed at the time. I learned a LOT about myself for the rest of that whole year. There were so many good changes and exciting events taking place that year that it DEFINITELY ranks on up there as one of the best!
I was somewhat disappointed that some of my issues (and, being completely honest here, not just mine) got in the way of me keeping that momentum going through 2008, but what can I say? I needed those experiences for personal growth, so while things sucked at the time, and for a while….good came out of all of it. Isn’t it funny how that works?
I seriously want to do vacation again this year. I want to take my kids to Six Flags, something I’ve been saying I wanted to do for years now. The boys and I will love it!
I’d also like to try for another girlie vacation, or quick weekend getaway. The summer festivals will be upon us soon, and I do love a good road trip! Or…..maybe TwiCon? Nah. All the meet & greet tickets sold out for that one, so I really can’t be bothered. Unless a bunch of other Twi-hards can convince me otherwise! Or….another weekend at the beach. I’ll comb through the Westgate site to see what deals and packages are available, and I’ll make something happen, somehow.
In the meantime, Tiffani and I have a date Friday morning with some really cute boys! It’ll be fun to watch it with someone else again, especially since I haven’t been able to force my sons to!
