Now I just need to figure out when tea time is....

There's few things I love more than a Sunday afternoon library book sale....and now that the library is almost done, I have places to put my found treasures.  It's such a great opportunity to stock up on classics you never remember to pick up at the bookstore (and in gorgeous vintage hardcovers to boot), big ole art books, history tomes (manged to snag a gorgeous vintage set of the "The Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire" and the "Autobiography of Ben Franklin", as well as a 100 year old  printing of George Bernard Shaw "Plays for Puritans".  It's also a chance to pick up tons of newer fiction that I wanted to check out but never got around to and of course, just little oddities you're likely only to find in a library.  I found some gems on Mesopotamian history, gay history in Boston, a bio on Sarah Bernhard, and some vintage cookbooks (you know, the ones have those oversaturated and sometimes downright lurid photos of tuna casserole).  No dice on vintage anatomy books or Wodehouse hardcovers today, but I did find another Sarah Waters hardcover for 50 cents (she of "Tipping the Velvet" and my recent fave read, "Fingersmith), and some fantastic "Collected Works" editions by Oscar Wilde, Ralph Waldo Emerson,  O Henry and Arthur Conan Doye in classic red and gold hardcovers;  and a gorgeous little leatherbound Robert Louis Stephenson volume that I'm not familiar with.

Of course, it would have been just ducky if I got OTHER things done today, like our EW application......but...I had to put the books away (some even alphabetically!) and that just plum wore me out.   This whole fatigue thing would be making me nutso, but I don't have enough energy to be nutso at the moment.  Oh, and warning to all....since I haven't been able to be physically active much since my immune system decided to go on holiday (I believe it's in the South of France somewhere at present), I have to do the thing that I just plain don't do.  Yup, in order to be able to fit into even my "bigger me" clothes, costumes and what not, I'm doing a sort of diet thing.  This is not my natural state of being and it makes me cranky, but it's either that or blowing money that could be better spent on ebay on more clothes.   I just hope I can get back into fighting form pretty damn soon (and by that, healthy enough to get back to, well, FIGHTING and jujitsu).  Then it's back to Twizzler Time!
