Glenn got a job then lost a job due to the company being to "busy" and not having enough time to properly train him. I mean shit, he told them he didn't have A LOT of experience when he started copper welding but he did have experience welding other metals...ugh...
I started school...
I'm taking:
Intro to Education. Class seems ok. I have to read a book called "When I was Puerto Rican" and do a book report on it. Got the book on Amazon for 5 bucks but haven't begun to read it yet. I also have to do a research paper for this class and haven't started that yet either. I have this class M-W-F from 1:40 to 2:35
Writing 101. My teacher also teaches at a Catholic HS and college so he's biased on his views. It seems all our topics are about contraversial subjects and I'm always the one with a different opinion than everone else. I'm wondering if I should just keep my mouth shut when topics like Capital Punishment and "The War" come up because these 19 year old kids only know what the media shoves down their throats and the teacher seems to go along with their views. This class meets at 7:40pm till 10:30pm on Mondays
Spanish 1. Teacher seems cool. We aren't learning "Spain" Spanish since as he puts it, 90 percent of the Spanish speaking population isn't from Spain. He's concerned about us learning how to speak and grasping the fundamentals of the language than anything else. Momdays and Wed from 2:45-4:30
History 20th Century: WW2 till now. I have to read Infamy by John Toland for a book report which of course I haven't started (got it on amazon for 15 cents...yay me! mind you it took me 3 weeks to actually GET my text book since the campus book store ran out of it and the major books stores around the area didn't carry it-got that on amazon as well). Class seems cool. The teacher said to me last week (since I always seem to know the answers-SHIT it's my favorite decades!!!) that I MUST read alot. UM NO...I watch a lot of the History Channel (otherwise known as the Hitler channel since that is always what seems to be on when I turn it on lately...). Some kid in class as we were leaving said "you're SMART!" and when I humbly asked why he just reiterated..."NO YOU'RE SMART"...whatever, these kids wouldn't know history if it slapped them in the face...oh I forget, it isn't on MTV therefore they wouldn't know it would they? Thursday nights from 7:40pm to 10:30pm
Unemployment has been straightened out...thank god! But I'm still 'po. I started working at Welsh Farms convenience store/deli for extra cash...Working 5am to 1pm then going to school is killin' me. See school schedule above.
I have no life. I don't go out much anymore. I'm still trying to finish my Jenna Jameson book....that's gonna be sitting for a while. Shoot me now...
