What Do You Have To Say? - Writing: Makes Me A Better Writer

 As a musician and songwriter. Just listening to other songs; interpreting why they wrote it, how they wrote it, the style they wrote it in, and more importantly, what they were feeling when performing it.  When I write, I like to put myself in other people shoes (i.e what it must be like to get raped, or growing up with no family) because I find it hard to constructively write about my own situations unless I can put myself in anothers shoes who could have had the same situation as I. I have had a lot of f*-$@d up things happen in my life, so I have had a lot of material to write about. Thats why I believe its better not ot dwell on the past but rather turn it into art.
