A few times in recent years, we've done the marvelous New Orleans scene (as well as, in the 90's, Carnival in Brazil). And, though other southern states also celebrated Mardi Gras yesteday, Florida doesn't do much about it ( Read more... )

I used to celebrate it more often when I was younger. Here in NYC we have many bars and clubs that celebrate Mardi Gras. Unfortunately, I've never been to New Orleans for the real Mardi Gras. One day... But any occasion to drink is alright by me. hehe.

Ah, New Orléans! I was there the last New Year's before Katrina (cool to have had the opportunity to experience that - too late now!), but I've also always wanted to go to Mardi Gras...maybe someday :>
