The Oscars -- and "Fish-guy"

Mar 05, 2018 08:44

Watched the Oscars last night, and thought the rolling references to last year's fuck-up (Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway -- the immortal "Bonnie & Clyde" -- announcing the wrong winner) were hilarious. Deliberately having the same vintage stars (W&F/"B&C") back this year, doing the same "best picture" gig, WAS tempting Fate. And then the terrific ( Read more... )

You longtime readers hopefully recall my silly "tags game." For those who don't, I need to tell you that, back when I began "devifemme" on Livejournal 15 years ago, it offered so-called tags to enable a reader to click back to one's earlier relevant postings. So I began tagging my posts.

Then Livejournal decided to "monetize" that capability. I was annoyed by such crass behavior, so I STOPPED tagging. What I didn't realize back then was that my old bunch of tags was never deleted by LJ.

I diiscovered that, while I couldn't add NEW ones, the hundreds of old ones I had created still worked. And the list appeared whenever I was writing something new to post on my LJ. As a result, I can play with my oddball list of tags -- giving my readers...well, oddball insights into who I was a dozen years ago.

So, pleaae, I invite you to click on any tag on one of my posts. It takes one back to, say, 2012 and whatever I had scribbled back then.

Moreover,, there's a smal "bonus" -- many of my posts had sexy photos attached, since I used to put up pix I found on Flickr.

You see, until 3 years ago, when Flickr made reblogging very difficult, I scrupulously got permission from the photographers (something NO ONE does on Tumblr, needless to say!), and over the years became friends with hundreds of Flickr members who had agreed I could use their stuff.

So...enjoy!
