Great movie, "Get Out"
Just got back from seeing the movie, "Get Out" -- which, it turns out, is an apt title! The black protagonist, played by Daniel Kaluuya, must try to get himself out of a bizarre situation, involving the family of his white girlfriend (played by NBC newsie Brian Williams's cute daughter Allison). I can't give away much more, or you won't go see it -- and you should!
It was written/directed by Jordan Peele (who ALSO is half of the recently hot Key & Peele comedy act on TV in both US and UK). As New Yorker notes, it is HIS stinging commentary on the "horrific" state of race relations. That said, Peele keeps the complex plot moving and the many characters, black and white, moving to a wild climax.
