Bye-bye Muslim Ban; fuck you, Donald!
I just confected the bitter title first (usually, I write the post first), because -- like Donald -- I embrace my extreme prejudice. The administration is so fucked up that it more than deserves ALL the legal grief it has gotten, and hopefully WILL get on many other public-policy matters in coming years.
Anyway, yesterday, a federal judge named Watson issued a restraining order against Trumpsky's SECOND chop at barring many Muslims from entering these blessed United States.
This is the de-jure "kiss of death" for their misbegotten effort to discriminate sgainst an entire religion -- simply out of bigotry. The Donald may curse the judges, or he may actually appeal up the chain to the Supremes -- but the wretched LOSER is fated to lose.
The Washington state Attorney General (who had won the case against Trumpsky's first effort at a ban last month) yesterday welcomed an extended legal fight BECAUSE, according to today's NYTimes, "his office could seek depositions from [guilty] administration officials and request documents that would expose the full process by which Trump [sic!] aides crafted the ban."
[That "sic!" is there because I intend not to call him anything but Trumpsky until he is hounded from the White House, or until the Russian connection is satisfactorily resolved.]
Oh, I mustn't forget to repeat the Times' final sentence, "If Mr.Trump lashes out again at the judiciary, it could set the stage in an uncomfortable way for [Neil] Gorsuch's confirmation hearings,which begin next week." So, Trumpsky's stupid tactics may just cost him his Supreme Court nomination!
