Re-learning/adapting my bloging tricks

In setting up my laptop here in Vero (on Comcast, temporarily foresaking Verizon, my Washington provider), I find I can no longer easily move between my LJ and Tumblr selves. Something as basic as reposting a Tumblr reblog to my journal could be done in 4-5 clicks (including those beloved fave-highlight-copy-post series that in the past year landed so many delicious URLs onto devifemme.livejournal.com).
In comparison, getting "aurora-nordstern" out of Tumblr and onto the first line above was really hard. Part of my problem is that my laptop op-system is the wonderful open-source "Ubuntu" -- which seems to work better on Verizon's platform than on Comcast's clunky thing here.
I'm going to try to transfer other URLs from Tumblr over here -- stay tuned!
