Boudoir Night Club - San Diego, CA, a photo by

I should probably explain: a month ago, I made a complicated arrangement to try to save the URLs of some photos I wanted from Flickr (they shut down the reposting mechanism I'd used for EIGHT years -- effectively cutting me off). I used a date-altering capability on LJ that I only imperfectly understood; let's call it my "time machine."
Now it gets weird: I thought stashing these URLs under FUTURE dates would hold them until I could trot them out, with all the usual bells 'n whistles (comments, etc.) -- but what I screwed up was that the "holding arrangement" was blocking access to my current posts. I cobbled together ways around that for my own purposes -- but didn't realize it was blocking EVERYONE from just looking casually at my current stuff. Soooooo, I want to apologize to all of you lovely (and ever-so-faithful) friends who calmly navigated ad-hoc AROUND the self-constructed roadblock. Finally, today, our sweet pal Anais wrote me to say the "empress [MOI] has NO clothes."
So, with a certain amount of effort, I've now squirreled away those pending posts in THE PAST, where they won't get in everyone's way. I think I'll still be able to access them -- but, well, we'll cross that bridge when...

Now, last Sunday, I showed you one of those stashed photos, a shot by the talented Charles Lee, showing his client's elegant place of business. Here is another from Charles that, in my frantic scramble to save what I could from Flickr, I'd "hidden in plain sight." (All too plain, as it turned out.)
