Not to brag, but the weather here in Florida has broken loose from that of the Washington DC region (our other home). A good part of late January was rainy and cool, but "Canadian air" (which we Floridians see as nearly Biblical -- the Apocalypse AND Canadian air!) finally gave way last week to tropic breezes.
We were a bit house-bound, Joanne having that medium-grade flu that's "going around." I enjoyed the pool -- the solar heating finally getting enough sunshine to reach 80 degrees.
Yesterday, she was feeling better. A terrific local blues musician name of Ben Prestage* was playing a nearby bar, so she decided we could give it a try. The afternoon was gorgeous, he was in excellent form, the beer was wet, and the nachos were great -- Joanne got her appetite back, so we also downed some fish tacos.
