Several of the commenters on Lora's Flickr version of this photo liked its capture of a certain vulnerability. Indeed, I noted the "boyhood-bravery" name for both her blogs (Flickr and Tumblr) as also revealing -- though she notes they're song lyrics from long ago.
As I said about the Flickr of my friend Brigid the other day, Lora's collection of shots (a lot of selfies, as Brigid's also are) is a fond record of a complex life opened to us. I'm in awe of both women's boldness!

Please indulge me in returning to the tags-list, which overall is a stream of my weird consciousness. I just saw, with chagrin, that -- after proclaiming on the other photo how keen I am on spelling her name "Lora" -- my stupid tag-list includes a "Laura" and NO "Lora"...so go ahead, you know you want to, click on "Laura" and find out WHOM I had in mind three years ago when I sold out my beloved cousin!
