Should Prop 8 pass, I will be outraged that the system meant to give people an active voice in politics too much power and curse he bigots that live here.

I know, right? I think California is such a largely liberal state that I don't think it (should) pass Prop 8, but I'm still sick to my stomach and worried about the what ifs.

The problem is that all of the places we think about in CA are liberal, and everything else is conservative. I remember looking at who won 2004 by county, and LA was blue, and so were most of the places along the SIlicon Valley, but after that, all red.

Everything that isn't a big huge city in California seems to be red, yeah. Drive a few hours outside LA into the farm country and you get red and conservatives like you would anywhere else. But such a huge amount of the population reside in the cities, so you have huge chunks of blue like LA, San Diego, San Fran, etc. with all the voting power.

Yeah. The County I work in (you know the one just East of LA) is RED RED RED! I think SD is too (even if the city itself isn't that bad.)

It's very much an urban/rural split, though.

Ick! I mean, I get enough YES ON 8 over here in the middle of LA/Westwood/Marina so I don't know what to think. But odd that SD would be red! I guess everyone retires there and goes conservative? IDK.
