where di that come from, and why is the room shaking?

i got home at midnight last night. the plane was delayed by 45 minutes, apparently that happens a lot on the sunday glasgow to bristol route. something to do with fog over amsterdam apparently.
i got in, had a fast shower and tried to sleep.

then i woke up at 6, and you know when you wake and you feel something's wrong? like inside?
well that's what i had. headache, couldn't breathe, glands through the roof. shivery but hot. so i called in sick and have been either on the sofa or sleeping ever since. i've just had a bath to try and raise mt body temperature, chicken soup, liquids by the pint and pain pills by the fist-full.
and i don't feel one iota better than i did at 6am this morning.

something in glasgow clearly didn't like me. and i've got my money on the burger king we substituted for food in the only shopping mall of the city while we tried to kill time before the flight. oh and the heavens opened for the first time all weekend. but it wasn't that cold. coming out of the plane on the bristol tarmac? that was cold. frost-breath cold.

now i'm going to have ice-cream, more fluids and try and sleep tonight, though whether that's a possibility is doubtful.

scotland, puking, sickness, work pains, illness
