Ok, i'm not in work cos i'm sick.
and i had to cancel FWB yesterday cos I'd retched into a toilet just a few hours prior to meeting him. And, of course, now is the time the weather chooses to be nice and sunny.
Here's some questions I want explaining?
Why doesn't Alan Silverstri (composer) release his work that is good. As opposed to the stuff that is popular?
Soundtracks to Young Guns 2 (score not Bon Jovi mess), Predator and Romancing the Stone are all unavailable and The Quick and The dead only got released this year to buy and considering the film was released in 1994 that is quite a wait for the music.
Young Guns 2 upsets me, it's the music I think and some of the dialogue. Is it supposed to be like this? I mean people slammed the film for being cheesy but in places the script isn't half bad. I guess Westerns just aren't cool, not in 1990 and certainly not now. Not after Unforgiven anyway.
Voting. Hand's up who thinks this Coalition government is going to work?
I think we should just have a re-vote. Run the whole thing again. Although I doubt that would change my voting, considering the possibilities on my vote card (the one named Divider):
Vote Tory: Not if my life depended on it, the hope of reviving section 28 is one reason, the union stance another.
Vote Labour: yep, after 13 years of nanny-ness, an illegal war over oil, and tuition fees that screwed my generation into debt for the next 3 decades I'm gonna vote to keep Gordo in?
Vote LibDem: Why? they're never gonna get enough seats to get power. And, this current coalition gives them some kind of taste of what it could be like to be in power. Which I think is even more cruel cos it's never gonna happen.
Vote Christian Fundamentalist: ha ha ha. Yep. The christ killer votes for the christians.
Vote BNP: HA HA HA. Can I vote for the BNP? Is it allowed, is my ballot card going to spontaneously combust?
Vote UKIP: Which is what I did last time and will do again. Why? I've no idea but given the 5 previously listed alternatives it stands up better than having no confidence in anybody.
Vote None of The Above: Yeah, imagine if Brewster's Millions was actually real? And so many people voted NOTA that it caused a political re-vote.
Well, it'll probably happen in a year anyway, can anyone see this Coalition lasting? Someone said it reminds them of the Molotov/Ribbentrop pact.
And look how well that turned out, it lasted for 2 years and then preceded the most savage and bloody conflict the human race has ever known.
Oh, fuck it, bring it on!
