Well I just saw an ad for the careers advice service so I went to the website and did their 'what job is right for you quiz'
Guess what came up tops?
No not sculptor.....Animator.
Now given when I was growning up the jobs I wanted to do was
A) to make toys
B) to be an Animator
C) To be an Achitect
When I was told I'd never be able to make toys and that was just silly, I changed to want to be an animator...they even told me that was silly, so while I school I thought 'Hey I might as well give architect a go'
But when I got to the art foundation course I was doing I switced back to wanting to be an animator. Unfortunatly none of the 4 animation course would take me on because they all wanted 2 acedemic A-levels and I only have 2 A-levels (due to the time they both took up on the timetable not through choice) and none of the ART BASED UNIVERSITY course would accept a-level art....even thought they all liked my work up to that point.
Then I fell into a modelmaking course, then into sculpting...making toys, so it was kinda full circle.
I'm having so much trouble finding a new sculpting job it might be time to teach myself animation. Last week I downloaded the personal learning edition of Maya and I have a book on it on the way.
Maybe I should look into Flash too.
