Drew shuddered as the wind wiped her hair around her face. It was lucky she was wearing a hat she thought as she pulled the peak down and tightened her scarf.
Currently, the Hufflepuff was walking with fellow house mate Parker and the two were braving wind and snow to get items for the Yule Ball that was coming up after the weekend. The two ducked into Madame Malkins and began to look at the selection of party/muggle items they had.
“So, what are you looking for?” Drew asked Parker after a couple of minutes searching.
“A dark blue tie, it’s to match Erica’s outfit.” He replied, from behind one of the many shelves.
Drew felt a pang of jealousy as he mentioned the new Slytherin’s name; Erica had managed to enter Hogwarts and turn almost every boy on his head, including Parker, for some reason Drew had never had that effect. But she soon forgot about the thoughts and she continued to help Parker with his search.
“That’s sweet, you two are going to look so cute.” She said happily.
“Yeah. You got a date yet Drew?” Asked Parker
“No, I don’t mind going on my own at all, but do me a favour and save me one dance uh? I don’t want to be a wallflower all night.” She replied jokingly.
Parker retaliated with a triumphant shout and he came out from behind a shelving area holding a dark blue tie. Drew smiled and clapped her hands lightly that they had found what he was after.
Parker paid and he and Drew made they way out and enjoyed a hefty day of shopping returning to Hogwarts with full stomachs and empty pockets. The entered the Hufflepuff common room and were greeted with the warm and relaxing atmosphere that all members of the Badger house had grown to love. Taking a seat by the fire Drew and Parker were joined by their friends and began to discuss the Yule Ball that was now only two days away.
