GERMAN FILM:
Downfall (2005) - Der Untergang
DRAMA - HISTORIC - WW2
The film chronicles the final days that Adolf Hitler spent in his Berlin bunker before his death by suicide on April 30th, 1945. One of Hitler's personal secretaries, Traudl Junge, is a witness to many of the events of the dictator's last days. The film portrays Hitler's closest military advisors and their desertions, betrayals, and also their undying loyalty, despite the impending arrival of the Soviet army. The film ends with an excerpt from an interview with Traudl Junge herself from the 2002 documentary "Blind Spot: Hitler's Secretary".
Chilling and brilliant movie in my eyes that really draws you in and depicts the madness.
