So! Let's talk Fruits Basket spoilers.
Akito is, in fact, a she. This fact isn't that obvious; I mean, she wears that ridiculous, black turtleneck thing to Tohru's school and no one catches on that he is a she. The only people that do know are the older Sohmas, and Uotani and Hanajima figure it out wayyy later on, but under different circumstances.
My question is this: would your character know Akito's true gender?
I'm easy either way. If your character has a good reason to know Akito is female (see: Tamaki) or whatever, then sure! All I ask is that they not spread it around; it may not even be a good idea to mention it to Akito herself. If either of those issues have a possibility of coming up, please tell me so we can talk it out.
As a side note, I know the spoiler's been out for at least two or so years now, but I'd still like to keep it under wraps for those who don't want to be spoiled. With that said, I may slip with my pronouns. If I do, please smack me immediately so I can fix that. D:
