From somewhere underneath all this university work, a withered hand emerges....
Four projects on the go, not including dissertation. Found some articles for reference in Investigative Biology, am making decent headway with Plant Biotechnology, really need to make a start on Marine Biology and haven't got past the title yet for Bioethics. These things aren't due in for another month or so, but I'm just about ready to scream.
Fortunately the old dissertation is running on a slightly less exasperating schedule, so I'm happy about that. I've gotten the first draft of my introduction in, so at least I'm on schedule. I need to start with the data processing soon...a wealth of descriptive statistics (aaaaarghh!) awaits my attentions.
In short, I'm just about keeping up with uni, but it's less fun at the moment.
LARP is going well, though. Last Carlisle Vampire game was described to me as the best LARP session I've yet run, so that's worth something I guess. This Sunday's meeting will undoubtedly prove popular as well. That ten minutes or so that I spend writing a plot before the game does in fact pay off (though to be honest I think if I just sat back and let the PCs backstab one another I'd still have a perfectly functional game going).
As for me as a player, well, tonight is the first Durham game for
Cities in Darkness. I hope it goes well, since I'm not going to be doing an enormous amount of travelling after this month (my Tuesday nights are far too valuable as working time for me to use every last one of them on LARP). Still, at least I should enjoy tonight, if I can just wake up a bit.
