Christmas Happenings

Last friday was Steve's corporate Christmas party. There was loads of booze and food, and there was also a little mascot: a tiny black doggie named Rosie. There was a makeshift Christmas tree: a tripod with a a sad string of twinkle lights and a Christmas sweater draped on it with random gifts from TimToms underneath. Micaela drew Steve's name and she got Steve a lint roller, cat treats, and a laser pointer. It was actually a very thoughtful gift. Later on in the night, a group of people thought it would be fun to play street hockey or something like that across the street and some guy got into their car and literally sped towards the group and didnt slow down until he scattered everyone. He said "Not allowed." then drove away and parked his car. Steve and I got home a bit after midnight.

Saturday night was Saffron's annual Christmas dinner. There was a lot of food, and when we got there, they were watching Teeth, which was a movie about a vagina with teeth. Then we watched half of Rise of the Guardians, then it got changed to The Thing. After this movie, it got changed to a movie about a murderous tire. Yes, a freaking tire. Apparently the movie is called Rubber. We played the Coupe, I also played Stella Ella Hola. Saffron brought out all her hats and put them all on her friend named Stephen. There were two Codys, Two Stephens, Colin was there, Curtis, Grace, Liz and Bumi, Kevin, Coleen and Dan arrived later, Chelsea and Alicia were there too. They played some Smashbrothers on the WiiU also at some point. Saffron drove us to the train station. Coleen also offered, which was very nice of her.

Sunday morning was the brunch with Mike and Cathy. It was nice. :D They picked us up around 10, and I had lots of bacon, and my annual candied salmon. We drove by some of the houses in the Priddis hamlet on the way home. They had so much more snow out there than in the city, which I thought was strange because it wasn't really all that far from the city limits... And in the city there was basically no snow.

In the afternoon, we went to Chinook to see the last Hobbit movie with Charlie, then we had vietnamese for dinner. We gave him his keychain that said Charlie, just a little gift from New York, and he liked it. :D The movie itself was so ridiculous. I just had to burst out laughing at the theater. We saw it on the IMAX, and they were screening it on 60 fps but there was a technical error where the images were not synching up. They had to fix it and then they gave us movie vouchers after the movie. Charlie bought us popcorn and pop.

While we were buying the tickets for the movie, a random guy started talking to Steve and and said he was a crack addict, and that he was in jail for manslaughter for 20 years, and that he saw his parents murdered when he was 15, and that we shouldn't worry cause he wouldnt hurt us and that he didnt have his gun on him. We reported it to security just because I thought that while it could have been nothing, when he mentioned a gun unprovoked, it might have been a warning of some sort or plea for help.

Today, Kurtis is supposed to come over later. It's been very tiring.
