So here's my dumb and inexperienced perspective on relationships.
They're the hardest things to do well - because more than anything else in life, it's one of those things that the more you work at it, and the more you want it, does not necessarily translate into it being more successful. Unlike all the other things we get to achieve in life that are spectacular: jobs, grades, coolness, likeability. Everything else is actually pretty by the book. And for successful people (like us duh), we are use to getting what we want, when we want, how we want, in a way that most people can't. But when it comes to others, it's like we can't control them. People are weird little beings that are inconsistent, not fact base, illogical, irrational... and sometimes we like ones that aren't even that great (or great at all, or even okay), and it's weird when we can't win them, achieve them, get them to want us more than we want them.
But that's okay. Because smart successful people always win at life. Even at relationships in the long run. Because people who are good, are always good and good at everything. And I'm prettttty sure we rule.
