Just coming in under the wire here for the PotD; time just got away from me this evening.
Until a few days ago, I didn't even know this spot existed. Just a few miles outside of Baraboo, WI (former headquarters and winter home for the Ringling Bros. Circus) Pewit's Nest is a small slot canyon carved by a stream which must have been flowing here since time immemorial, considering the canyon is about 40 feet deep and carved through what I'm guessing is limestone. uisinger and I have resolved that we've got to get out there and check it out. Apparently it's a cherished local secret - the photographer states that it's just a bit off a county road lined with farm fields. It sounds magical.
