semi-annoying couple of days
Well, I had 2 separate missions canceled in the last 24 hours. The first one, we woke up at 1am last night to do an air assault at like 2:30am. As we were getting dressed and gathering our gear, our platoon sergeant entered our tent and told us it was canceled. As we went back to sleep, he popped in again and said, "hey! I was just kidding! Get your shit on!" A few guys started moving, and he said, "yeah, I was just kidding THIS time. It really is canceled! HAHAH!" That's just not right. I knew it had to be canceled for real, though, b/c he wouldn't risk making us late like that :P
Tonight's got canceled b/c of a combination of weather and unavailability of helicopters for MEDEVAC. It didn't get canceled until well after we'd have been back anyway, so we spent a few hours just standing around BSing. At least it was more pleasant than driving in circles.
I'm still trying to work getting my leave switched to June so I can take the LSAT. It'll take some doing, and I am praying about it.
