Popular Science? There's no such thing! More like, NERDULAR NERDENCE!

Man, I haven't updated in forever. I don't get on a computer much, and when I do, I usually just don't feel like typing an LJ.

At work, I've been going to this master trainer's class for the blue force tracker. Without going into too much gory detail about it, it's a computer system that uses GPS and satellite communications to track different vehicles and TOC locations to prevent friendly fire and let EVERYONE on the net know about dnager areas. It's really easy to use, and quite interesting. We've had 4 practical exercises so far, and 1 test. I aced the crap out of the test, muhhahaha.

Well, since the people I was most nervous of telling about this already know, I'll start talking about it here. Christie is the most awesome woman I've ever dated. We're completely smitten with each other, and when I'm not around her, it kind of feels like a part of me is missing. Oh, yes, it's wonderful. But people kind of react funny when they find out that I'm 25 and she's 42. You know what? Age is just a number. I don't believe in destiny or any of that crap, but this almost has a "meant to be" feel to it (wow, I almost made myself gag).

My mom found a lump in her breast recently. Hopefully it's just benign, but we won't know until she's able to be seen by a doctor, which has been difficult for her to do w/o health insurance. Ugh. I'm sure it'll all turn out OK.

I received quite a few movies for Christmas and for my birthday. "Barton Fink" was really strange, and I didn't like it as much as the other Coen bros movies I've seen, but it was still very enjoyable. "Napoleon Dynamite" is freaking hilarious, but not as funny as a lot of other people make it out to be. "Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels" definitely is a lot easier to follow and is even funnier on the second viewing.

I'm so far behind on my reading it's rediculous. Oh well.
