Well Mom came up for the day. Overall, it was a good visit. It was needed. I actually sat down and told her everything that's been going on the past two months. She listened patiently. She had a lot to say, some of it reminiscent of what Danny's already told me. There were moments of arguing, moments of tears, and a really good relaxing dinner out. She just left, and I think things are better between us. We discussed some things that we usually stray from. Like Dad. Repeating Kevin, she told me I need to not take out my anger and sadness about Dad on other people in my life.
She said a lot of things. Some I appreciated, some were her usual excuses. But one thing that did feel really good was when she admitted that after Dad left I took care of her too much, and she didn't take care of me enough. She said that's why she's so hard on me now. That she wants me to be happy and complete and find my answers. A lot more was said between us that I need to process.
I don't know how I feel now. Relaxed, maybe. I think I'm gonna go for a long walk. Maybe find a bar with people I don't know and sit back with a beer and think more. I don't know.
