Ross called me a couple nights ago to let me know how the transfer was going, so yesterday I decided to drop by MCS and take a look around, maybe give Ross a hard time in person for once. Ross wasn't in, but I ran into Ed Green. He was friendly and showed me around, gave me some advice. He also took me down to the lab and introduced me to Logan's wife. I liked her. It doesn't seem she let's the guys get away with too much. My lieutenant is being really nice to me suddenly. I don't understand it. Usually he's always riding me for something or the other. Might have something to do with the fact that I'm leaving. It still feels good to say that.
I'm not as scared about moving to MCS anymore. I know the cases will be tough, but I'm all in. I'm not so worried about people liking me anymore, either. That was a brief moment of weakness. It's easy to show the "sweet, funny, charming" side of Megan Wheeler. As long as I keep that up at work, like usual, it'll all be good. Then I can come home and just be Megan, and curl up in front of the TV with Pup.
