25 December Sunday - 6:00 pm - At home
“I am seventeen!” Ax yelled as he jumped around excitedly around the living area. Of course his uncle just ignored him too focused on budgets of the pub; even if it was Christmas the man didn’t get a rest. “I would like my presents now” Ax stated and his uncle finally looked up.
“A little energetic aren’t we? Are you having a party or what?” Mimura crossed his arms. Ax didn’t think to have a party and felt kind of stupid for it. “Well the guys are coming over for sure since they always do, but I didn’t invite anyone else.” Ax huffed.
“Well, just keep it upstairs the bar is still going to be open tonight so I will be working.” Mimura said as he grabbed his paperwork. “We are having fried chicken tonight the boys are more than welcome to help themselves if they come over.”
“Thanks I hope they all make it,” Ax wasn’t sure if Maikeru would make it since Christmas was taken seriously in his family. The other two would have to come and Ax kind of had something he wanted to share with them. He was going to tell them why he wasn’t helping as much financially for the band. He had to give some of his hard earned money to Kankako and he was going to share why.
He wasn’t sure how his band member would act when they heard the news that he knocked up a girl would they be surprised or not. He tried not to dwell on it too much and remain happy until it was later in the day and his friends would be stopping by any minute. He figured he would share the news with his cousin Jiro while the others were there as well. Get it all done at once instead of having to repeat the story.
Looking at the clock Ax sighed. “It’s time.” The fried chicken sat on the kitchen counter and plates were laid out in anticipation of his friend’s arrival.
