I put the soft top on the Jeep yesterday. I had to go buy a tailgate retainer from a dealer in order to put the tauntau cover on. I called ahead to make sure they had the part and they quoted me $105. While there the parts guy came out to see if I needed clips as well, upon seeing that my Jeep was still covered in mud he gave me a broad grin and said since I was a "true" enthusiast he was going to give me the "special" discount. He lowered the price of the retainer to $86 and gave me a free t-shirt for the wifey-poo.
It was a blast cruising around last night with the top off, better than I had hoped. Now everyone and their mother can listen to Shannon sing along to the radio.
I still need to buy some door frames though because it rained last night and the interior got wet. And it's a two person job to put the bikini top on the thing. But other than that I love the thing.
