"They don't ever stop," Kivat says solemnly, as though the effort was becoming futile.
"Yeah," Tatsulot pipes up, "we've been doing this a long time, but we can't give up!"
Wataru nods to both of them, then to Danny. Behind the helmet, he's smiling, red cape blowing gently in the cool December wind. The luthier stays voiceless as Kivat speaks again from his upside-down position on Kiva's belt, "We need to move on."

"Hey, I think he's asking if you're hiding behind Kiva," Tatsulot whispered up to Wataru, to which Kivat concurred.
The golden warrior shook his head, finally understanding the question. "I fight like this. I'm more powerful like this."

"This way," he said in a low whisper, sword ready to bite into whatever enemies neared. They would go towards the city, where the most people would be. He had to save their music from being snuffed out. Each human's soul rang out with their own song, and Wataru was determined to protect those unique songs. It was why he fought now, no longer bound to the whims of Bloody Rose or his father's will.
