[There is an intense look in Wataru's eyes, which is very abnormal for the shy luthier, but the situation calls for it. At his left, Kivat is hovering and flapping, and at his right, Tatsulot. Even the little animals have an intensity to their expressions. He speaks in a low voice ( Read more... )

Danny is frantic, running back to the shop. "No." And he looks somewhat scared. It is mostly that he is afraid of being late.

[Video turns on with Tatsulot looking in curiously before Wataru breaks his transformation and looks at what Tatsulot is staring. He looks a little bit worried.]

Danny...?

Finding Wataru, Danny comes to a halt. "Careful!" and then he tries to drag Wataru away when one of the Elites are stalking the street they stand on. He don't want Wataru to get hurt! Wataru is nice! Have to help, have to help!

"Danny?!" he mouths in momentary surpise as Kivat goes off to attack the Elite with a flurry of bites. Wataru turns to find the Elite and manifests Zanvat Sword. "Kivat! Tatsulot!" he says with surprising calm, holding out his hand for Kivat, who quickly bites it. Wataru then lifts his left arm and Tatsulot breaks the Catena Chains, fluttering bats of light engulfing Wataru. As the light fades, a man in gold armor stands in Wataru's place, a shining silver and gold broad sword with large bat wings at its hilt being held in the armored man's hands ( ... )

Coming to a halt infront of Wataru, Danny widens his eyes, when Wataru changes in front of him. This is strange! Very strange, and nothing Danny has ever seen before. It distracts him enough that one of the Elites almost gets him, but he does a crazy jump, using a wall to jump over the Elite, and ending up behind him. The Elites strange weapon does grace his arm though, angering Danny. Not kill, not kill... can't, can't, can't... have to help, have to help, have to help... Seeing as how Wataru ends one of the elites, Danny distracts the other by using his back as a bouncing board in a way, jumping to the Elites back hitting him over the head with both his hands closed together as a fist-shaped hammer, then to a wall and down again. It distracts him enough so Wataru can end him to.

It slows down at that, even though the noise from the city can still be heard... Danny looks Wataru up and down in that strange costume... "Wataru?" he questions curiously.

Kivat and Tatsulot take themselves off of Wataru and the transformation breaks, revealing that the young luthier was indeed underneath all that armor. Wataru stands, a bit surprised to see Danny fight so well, but they finished off the monsters, and that's all that counted, right? Wataru keeps his sword in hand, just in case another round of monsters appears.

"You can fight, too?" he asks cautiously.

The Elites head sure was hard... The hit Danny had done on it still ringing in his arms and hands... Such a hit usually killed a man. Used to ignore such things, Danny instead used his hand to poke Wataru's arm. Yeah, it was still Wataru. The nice man who had taken him in when he had come to this strange city. Not answering Wataru's question, Danny just smiled at him. But the smile was soon wiped off his face, when another Elite showed up behind Wataru. "NO!" and Danny jumped in front of Waturu and got the Elites attention. Using his acrobatics he managed to keep away from the strange weapon the creature wielded (and as he had learned, painful weapon... his arm stung somewhat where the other one had graced it, but Danny was used to ignore such things). They were shiny to. Maybe thats why his hands had hurt when he hit the other one over the head? Danny did no intentions to attacking the Elite though, if Wataru would notice that. He just kept out of reach from his weapon.

Wataru is a bit stunned as Danny whipped into action so quickly; even Kivat and Tatsulot were surprised, as Danny had seemed so ingenuous before now. Danny could fight and he could fight more than just well - that man was a professional. Wataru's sword cuts at the opening given to him by Danny while Kivat and Tatsulot return to their original positions on Wataru's armor. He can't stay in his mostly human form for too long in this circumstance. He needs the chains to be broken and the armor shining on his body. A few slashes later and another finishing attack with the Zanvat Sword finishes the enemy quickly.

"They don't ever stop," Kivat says solemnly, as though the effort was becoming futile.

"Yeah," Tatsulot pipes up, "we've been doing this a long time, but we can't give up!"

Wataru nods to both of them, then to Danny. Behind the helmet, he's smiling, red cape blowing gently in the cool December wind. The luthier stays voiceless as Kivat speaks again from his upside-down position on Kiva's belt, "We need to move on."

When the new Elite was finished, Danny looked at it. It had seemed so determined.... Danny knew the look the Elite had had on his face... He had had it himself so, so many times... No stopping. Just killing. He shivered a little... Then he looked at Wataru, still in the armor. But now he knew Wataru was in there and showed no surprise or fear. "Hiding?" he asked Wataru. In Dannys world, that would be logical. This creatures had only one goal. Kill. Danny could see that clearly. It did not scare him. Violence didn't. He was just worried about Wataru.

In unison, all three replied to Danny's question with the exact same word: "Eh?" Kiva took a moment to think this through, as even having the brains an almost complete Fangire, he was still Wataru on the inside and these things just didn't process very well through his brain.

"Hey, I think he's asking if you're hiding behind Kiva," Tatsulot whispered up to Wataru, to which Kivat concurred.

The golden warrior shook his head, finally understanding the question. "I fight like this. I'm more powerful like this."

Powerful. Powerful was good, Danny thought. But he was not about to leave Wataru alone. "I help." he said with a voice who broke no argument. He felt attached to Wataru. Friends was not a concept Danny understood. At least not yet. Friendliness and violence, that he understood. And Wataru had been friendly towards Danny, so now when there was violence against Wataru, Danny would try and keep some off it on himself. Used to taking orders he stood close to Wataru, keeping an eye on there surroundings, wondering what Wataru wanted him to do now?

Helping was good; he liked having help. One thing was definitely for certain, though: being transformed so much had nearly completely fix his arm. Definitely a good thing, considering the current surroundings. Kiva nodded, looking up at the sky, the ships hanging low and ominous, before moving out. Gunfire was heard in the distance.

"This way," he said in a low whisper, sword ready to bite into whatever enemies neared. They would go towards the city, where the most people would be. He had to save their music from being snuffed out. Each human's soul rang out with their own song, and Wataru was determined to protect those unique songs. It was why he fought now, no longer bound to the whims of Bloody Rose or his father's will.

Straight orders, that was just what Danny needed to hear, it wiped his mind of the confussion of all the friendliness he'd gotten throw on himself lately, the fear of the loss of everything he had known. And he snapped to attention very quickly, following close behind Wataru in his shiny armor, keeping his eyes on there surroundings. Can't kill, can't kill... have to help, have to help....

It had been a long time since he had had to fight, let alone fight with a companion; he wasn't sure what to make of Danny. The other man had fierceness boiling in his eyes, even through his helmet he could see it, and it stirred something in him. He wondered, vaguely, if he had maybe put too much trust into the strange man ( ... )

Danny was very single-minded at the moment. One goal. Following whatever Wataru told him to do. During the fight, and Wataru's change from the soft musician to the strong fighter, Danny had subconsciously replaced Bart with Wataru as his Master... And being mentally as a dog, he snapped to action as soon as his Masters voice was heard. Hearing the people behind the big uglies, he ran straight towards them uglies, head on, hearing the small dragon behind him. Just before they could reach him and kill him, Danny jumped over them, making a somersault when he landed, to make sure he didn't hurt himself hitting the ground ( ... )

Kiva had his hands full with the small mob he was already dealing with, so it was left up to poor Tatsulot to make sure Danny didn't die (or anyone else for that matter). With great speed, the little dragon side-slashed the enemies on Danny, exclaiming such lines as "take that" and "piano forte" at the monstrous foes, giving Danny an opening to strike. "Aaah, these guys are weaklings!"
