this and that, redux
Things that are on my mind today:
- I've been feeling down, so I bought myself a dozen pink and purple roses at Trader Joe's. ($7 a dozen.) They smell wonderful! I have them in vases all over the apartment, and they make me happy.
- Sometimes the universe gives unexpected gifts at precisely the right moment. Last night's gift was a group of fans who descended on one of my stories and its sequel, and left the most amazing comments telling me how much the story means to them. After I got done crying, I was so thankful. Sometimes strangers are kinder than the people who are supposed to care about us, and that's a lesson I perpetually forget.
- The new trailer for Terminator: Dark Fate looks AMAZING. A. Maze. Ing. I'm a huge fan of Mackenzie Davis from Halt and Catch Fire (which all of you should go find wherever it's streaming and watch, tho just skip season 1) and she kicks some serious ass in the trailer. Wow. Also, Saraaaaahhhhh omg.
- I have four days off, so I spent this morning being immensely productive. I adulted all over the place - groceries, Target run, hair, doctor, bank, etc. That leaves me three days to sleep and try to recover from this weird exhaustion I've got going on. At Supercuts, the salon was empty except for me, so I got four young ladies debating what kind of moisturizing shampoo I should be using and fussing over me. They were very nice. They sent me away with a huge bag of free samples. See: kindness of strangers, above.

- Imagine my surprise when I found out that twinges of chest pain are sometimes normal as women approach certain milestones in life. (Note, I continue the pattern of being stoic in every detail of my existence, in that I was on my eighth day of chest pains before I gave any thought to checking it out.)
- I continue to wallow in Endgame feels. That's not going away anytime soon.
- I miss Disneyland! I want to be there right now. ABH. They're bringing back Soarin' Over California (the first, the best, the ORIGINAL) for June, and I just...miss it.
How's everybody else? What's new? What are you all reading fanfic-wise? Pls tell me the latest awesome story you read. (I will give you a virtual cupcake if it's MCU, Tony or Steve centric, and it does not involve any type of non-powers AU.)
