I've actually never seen this movie! :-) I think I started to once, but the only thing I remember is that the pharao's palace guards were all wearing the nemes, which is the headcloth that's basically a type of crown, and most definitely reserved for the pharao. Guess TPTB didn't think they needed a book (or consultant) about Ancient Egypt when making a movie about Ancient Egypt...?

Actually, I think I've never seen any bible epic. Huh. Maybe that's the reason why I never got into alcohol. ;-)

This is PERFECT. I love this movie, because it is utterly ridiculous and entirely captivating at the same time. Plus, YUL BRENNER. Prettiest Pharaoh EVER.

I also love this movie unironically. However, this year I'm going to miss it as I am doing the next best thing: visiting some Jewish friends (there will be many, many jokes in bad taste -- these are the people who insisted on showing us 'Borat' and have a yearly screening of 'Badder Santa') and playing Cards Against Humanity.
