Thing one: America did Adam Lambert a huge, huge favor tonight, just like they did my boy Chris Daughtry a favor a couple seasons ago. Now he can put out an album that is 100% Adam Lambert, true to who he is and what he wants to be, not some cookie-cutter wanna-be pop star bullshit. And he is going to be a rock star, no doubt about that.
Thing two: OMG, Adam was channeling Freddie Mercury for a minute there. I got goosebumps. DUDE. Did you see Brian May's FACE when he looked at Adam? I thought he was going to cry! I...am verklempt!! And basically, there was some other guy singing too, but no one noticed him. And that is why Kris whatsisname is going to be the next Taylor Hicks. (I mean, he's a sweet enough guy, sure. But generic is the word, yes.)
Thing three: MOTHERFUCKING KISS! BETH I HEAR YOU CALLING! OMFG!
Thing four: Lionel Richie, Cyndi Lauper, KISS, Queen, Rod Stewart and Carlos Santana = I am so happy, I may pop. That is what music is all about. Who the hell is Jason Mraz next to that? No one is going to remember that guy's name in 20 years. (I hope.) Tho Fergie and Queen Latifah = awesome and worthy of remembering.
