Wow i'm in love.^__~ Kanan and Goyjo sound so perfect together but we all know even good things must some how come to and end. But not to soon mind you. I believe that kanan taught goyjo how to love and it might make some of his friends just a tad bit jealous. Because she's taking up all of his time now.
What a great idea for a fic!! And you are developing it soooooo well... I love the way you set it up, with Gojyo having to tell the tale after the first kiss with Hakkai, perfect!
The POV of 15-y/o street kid Gojyo is just as I had always imagined him, and told so evocatively. Really, the scenes of their first contacts together put me in mind of some of my "first times" (and that was a LONG time ago, believe me! ^___~) Beautifully done, my dear, can't wait to see what is coming next.
(Edit - forgot to ask: are you a "Hotel New Hampshire" fan, is that the origin of the chapter title? One of my favorites. Keep passing the open windows! ^_^)
Fantastic stuff! I wanted to comment earlier but had to go babysit so didn't get time ;)
I love the way you are layering Gojyo's past like this, bit by bit, until we can start to see the man he will become instead of the teenager. Looking forward to the next bit! ♥
