An open-topped carriage, an old cabriolet, pulls up outside the front door of the Hotel. A young man, very neatly dressed, with a medallion on a tricolor ribbon hanging around his neck, disembarks and removes a small case. He pays the driver and turns toward the buliding. And stares in confusion. He turns back to the cab, but it is gone.
Still puzzled but with an air of determination, he strides inside and up to the desk where he rings the bell. "Excuse me," he says in French.
((Those of you who know me know that I've been debating doing this for some time. There will be tags on personal journal entries to keep from being confusing. Movie of choice is the 1982 British televison movie featured in all the screencaps. This would be Armand St. Just, of course, from The Scarlet Pimpernel. He's been wanting to meet people that are only here. And hopefully everyone also knows my French is horrid, so get him to swtich to English soon.))
