I'm haunted and weeping

Roger's been ill at ease since his strange encounter. But there is something to be said about how much he's changed since he arrived on the boat, in that he hasn't crawled away somewhere to get drunk, high, or some combination of the two

Olive's standing nearby, half hidden behind the wall she's peering around to watch him and to listen to the song he's playing. She loves listening to him play, but hates to interrupt. So until he notices her head peeking out, she'll just be listening contentedly.

He finishes the song with a flourish and happens to turn his head. Seeing Olive, he sets his guitar down and grins. "Hey, Olive!"

^_______^ She steps out from behind the wall and gives a small wave. "Hi, Rogerdad."

"How are you, sweetheart?" If she needs a hug, he's ready, willing and able to give her one.

[ilove_olive]

"I'm good..." She'll go and sit next to him, looking up at him in the way that he should, by now, recognize as the one she has when she's working up to sitting in his lap. "How are you?"

He does indeed recognize that look and solves the problem by pulling her onto his lap and giving her a big hug. "I'm doing okay."

She'll give him just as big of a hug. "You look a little sad."

[findonesong]

"It's been a weird week. I thought playing would help."

[ilove_olive]

She nods. "Your music always helps me, too!"

[findonesong]

"You're a good kid, you know that?" Roger's touched by this, more then he can say properly, so he gives her another hug.

[ilove_olive]

She blushes. "I like that you seem happier now than you did before."

[findonesong]

"You're here now. That helps." He smiles down at her.

[ilove_olive]

Olive blushes happily. "Really?"

[findonesong]

"Really."

[ilove_olive]

"Oh, how nice...." Blushing more, she tugs on a finger.
