The frost and blizzard catch Hawkeye offguard. Admittedly he's been dressing warmer as it's gotten colder, but he wasn't prepared for this much cold at once. So he blindly begins to make his way back towards the Mansion.

When he comes across the blizzard's cause (though he, of course, doesn't know that).

And he just stares, arms still wrapped about himself, with his rifle tucked under one.

"...What in the name of all that's holy?..."

Jadis turns her gaze on him, narrowing her eyes for a moment before she smiles -- and that might be the most frightening of all.

"You there," she says sweetly, sweeping over to him grandly, "what is your name?" Her tone isn't one to be disobeyed.

He shivers, and it's not all from the cold.

"Hawkeye, er, Nathaniel. Bumppo."

"Hawkeye Nathaniel Bumppo," she repeats, and though she doesn't have it accurate, it would not be a good idea for him to disagree. "Why is this place so important? Tell me."

"His children are here." Lucy tells her, confidently, his children of course mean herself, Edmund, Susan and Peter. Her lip trembles some and she is struggling to be brave.

There is a brief pause as Jadis narrows her eyes at the familiar voice, and then she turns around slowly, a few drifts of snow blowing about in her wake.

"I see," she murmurs. She doesn't advance on Lucy quite yet, but her tone is menacing enough. "All four?"

Lucy is too smart to answer that question. "It is none of your business."

"No?" She echoes, reaching a hand towards her wand, before seeming to change her mind. "Very well. I have other ways of finding out, Daughter of Eve."

Lydia is amazed. The blizzard and snow came from nowhere it seemed. She's found her way through the snow to the warmth of the Mansion. At the voice she'll whirl around. Her natural instincts tell her to be guard. "He who...?"

At this question, Jadis arches a thin eyebrow, because who does not know the 'he' that she refers to?

"The great lion," she spits out the words, as if it were an insult.

She means Aslan. Lydia knows she does.

"I have seen no lions." This, this is a lie. But Lydia is more than a little intimidated by this woman and somehow doubts the truth would serve the King of the Wood any good.

Unfortunately for Lydia, Jadis is fairly apt at telling lies from the truth -- after all, she has told her share of lies.

"None at all?" She asks, faking a slightly disappointed look.

Galwyn spends much of his time outside, he always has, but he is entirely unprepared for a blizzard. He is even less prepared for it's cause as there is no magic where he comes from so he simply stares in surprise and perhaps a little fear, reflecting in one corner of his mind that he's glad Ravus is not with him at the moment.

At the sight of Galwyn, she sweeps over to him with an expectant and regal expression. "Well? Will you not answer my question?"

He draws back slightly, it is not his first experience with royalty (or something close), but he was never intimidated by Lord Artos. This woman is scary. "I do not know of whom you speak, my Lady."

"I do not speak of anyone in particular," she smiles (though that may encourage him less, because her smile, like the rest of her, is rather frightening), "but merely want to know what makes this place so important."

*has been wandering about the grounds, trying to become acquainted with the environs, and on his way back to the mansion finds himself slogging through snow--it's worse than the northlands of his homeland--and when he sees a strange woman standing before him, he naturally assumes that she is just one more mansion denizen* Winter here comes far more quickly than it does to Kalevala--who is this for whom you search and what is he that his imporatance draws you to this frozen mansion?

Finally, somebody who seems to know what she's talking about; somebody with sense.

"He would be in the form of a lion," she answers, and adds wryly and sharply, "but he isn't a tame lion."

*has no idea what the form of a lion is* I have seen no wild creature but the wolves within the forests; luck to you, though, in your searching.

"I see." At the word 'wolves', she had grown expectant, wondering if part of her army was here along with her -- but they would have seeked her out by now, if they were. And since this man obviously knows nothing more, she simply nods imperiously at him. "If you see anything, be sure to inform me."
