A Picnic (open)

Nov 14, 2006 03:26

She's managed, somehow, to convince Erik to picnic with her. After dark, yes, but is a step. Christine has, from somewhere in her frightened heart, managed to decide that it is in Erik's best interest to learn that here he is not in such company, that here he will not be shunned.

Of course, besides Erik's appearance, there are numerous reasons to shun him. Still, perhaps she can help to cure it to some degree.

Christine has set up a place on the lawns, a blanket spread out and a basket settled on top of it. She is seated herself, elegantly, in warm dress to ward of the evening chill. Perhaps Erik would not come. Perhaps he had promised with no intent to follow through!

No, he wouldn't do such a thing to her, surely. And so she waited.

Others are, of course, welcome to join this picnic.
