If people pass the porch, they will find that it has been lovingly decorated with garlands made of grain, onions and dried herbs; and tables have been set up that flow over with great amounts of autumnal foods: Pumpkins stuffed with rice and beans and nuts, pumpkin soup, millet soup, vegetable soup, fresh bread, roasted chestnuts, baked potatoes, corn cobs, baked apples, and all sorts of fresh fruit and vegetables... you get the picture. And there is wine, beer, cider, mead, fruit wines, and also juices and water for those who won't drink alcohol even at a high feast. And there are tables and chairs for visitors; there are burning candles, and coal-basins to keep people warm outside.
Isildur is sitting, guarding the buffet, inviting anyone who passes by and isn't Sauron or someone of that sort and explaining - beaming broadly - that this feast is for Eruhantalë, the Númenorean thanksgiving.
