With little grace and a loud racket, a young woman with dark hair (yet skin that is as pale as snow) tumbles in, though she somehow lands in a low crouch with her sword half-drawn. Across her chest is strapped a leather belt studded with a series of pouches, and will, upon closer examination, be revealed to be a set of bells, ranging from pillbox sized to as large as a human hand. There is nothing else overly remarkable about her, and after a quizzical blink, she stands and sheathes her sword again, blushing furiously at her strange entrance and attempting to hide behind her hair.
A few steps backwards and she would have backed out of the doorway again, were it not for a dog of nondescript color and breed (if pressed, one would describe it as medium-sized and black and tan coloured) skidding in after her and nudging at her legs.
"I'm sorry-" She begins, holding onto the dog's collar as if for moral support, "I didn't realize that- My name is Lirael, daughter of the-"
A deep breath. The dog wags its tail up at her encouragingly. "Lirael. I'm Lirael, the Abhorsen-In-Waiting of the Old Kingdom. Why are there so many Dead here, and what sort of magic binds this building?"
[[OOC note: From the end of Garth Nix's Lirael.
She's a necromancer and will clearly sense if characters have been dead. I won't, though! so please let me know via typist comment if your character has died at any point! ;)]]
