Hello. I am the Duke of Mantua. That is all you need to know. When people talk about me, they usually refer to me just as "The Duke". Or "The Duke from Rigoletto" if they want to be precise. Or "The Duke from Verdi's famous opera Rigoletto, first performed at La Fenice in 1851, who sings the famous tenor aria 'La donna é mobile'" if they want to be pretentious. Or "that guy who sings on all the pasta ads" if they are an ignorant fool.
I would have arrived earlier, but the woman who types for me was afraid that opera characters would not be accepted, as it is not technically a "literary text". I tried to make her see sense - Rigoletto is based on a play, so I do have literary origins - but it was difficult. (She is a woman, after all.) But thanks to the arrival of
gloryandaguitar and
i_document_life, she reasons that since musical characters are welcome, I should be too.
But that is not important. I am here, and that's all that matters, really. More about me? I have been described as evil, thoughtless, selfish, a prince and a mafia leader, but the most common term is womanizer. Women are beautiful creatures. I love them. But the man who falls in love with just one is an idiot. They are horrid, deceitful creatures. what no i don't have issues
Mun!Edit:
La donna é mobile, as performed by Russell Watson. I used to be a bit of fan, until I heard him BUTCHER Bohemian Rhapsody. It was painful. Unfortunately, this is the only copy I have on hand right now.
